There's Going to Be a Three Stooges Reunion, for Whatever Reason

There is going to be a sequel to the 2012 'Three Stooges' movie.

There's going to be another Three Stooges movie. The comedic trio was revived in 2012, in a highly anticipated film directed by the Farrelly brothers, which was largely okay. Now, SlashFilm reports, the idiot brothers are getting a sequel. No director is attached to the project yet, but Cameron Fay, who wrote the script for Brothers in Law starring Taran Killam, is working on the script. And of course, Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Will Sasso are set to reprise their roles as the rambunctious Larry, Curly, and Moe.

What will happen in the new movie? It's impossible to say. The first Three Stooges movie was jam-packed with stars—Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, Larry David (Larry. David!), the cast of the Jersey Shore, and more. But the story itself didn't really go over well with audiences—the movie only made $54 million worldwide. So why would anyone think that making another movie where the three idiot brothers screw things up would be a good idea?

Maybe the producers have something up their sleeve that will blow us all away. The sequel is said to be an action-comedy, so producers are looking for a big name to join the stooges. Maybe Chris Pratt will be up to the test?
