The clip, presented as a boastful ad for InGen's continued scientific advancements, adds a layer of realism to the film's marketing.

Look at god. B.D. Wong appears to be slaying as the increasingly egotistical Dr. Henry Wu, the admittedly brilliant geneticist driving innovation at International Genetics Incorporated. Wu appears in the forthcoming Jurassic World, a sequel that — at the very least — firmly cements Chris Pratt as definitely not that guy from Parks & Recreation.

If you've somehow avoided the last twenty years of American pop culture, you might not be very keen on the InGen knowledge required to truly appreciate the power of the faux infomercial above.

Here's Park Pedia with the catchup:

Early in the 1980s, Dr. John Parker Hammond "dreamed up" the idea to clone dinosaurs from preserved DNA in fossilized amber. John Hammond set up a research group, including Dr. Sorkin and Dr. Wu, to a carry this dream into effect (maybe under the name "Hammond Foundation"). They managed to clone a prehistoric animal in 1984. In 1985, after this accomplishment, Hammond managed to attract enough investors to set up an entire corporation, International Genetic Technologies, Inc. (InGen), dedicated to the cloning of extinct life. It mission was to be the world's premier researcher of leading-edge genetic and biological science and technology.

Jurassic World opens on June 12.
