Hacking Savages Put Up Goatse on a Digital Billboard in Atlanta

If you don't know what Goatse is consider yourself lucky.

Hackers with no regard for the sanctity of other people's eyeballs took over an Atlanta billboard last weekend to display the infamous Goatse image. For those who aren't familiar (consider yourself lucky), the picture captures a man bent over, stretching his asshole much wider than you'd think an asshole could be stretched. I don't recommend Googling it or looking at the hacked billboard (here if you must), unless, of course, you're one of my friends. In that case I hope you see it for the first time, and it ruins your afternoon.

Motherboard reports the line of billboards hacked in the ATL is remarkably simple to hack because customers don't bother to change the default username and passwords. Dan Tentler, a well-respected security researcher, pointed this out to the unnamed company but was told it wasn't interested in his services.

Tentler also said the problem that allowed the hackers to get in still hasn't been fixed. So perhaps we'll see Goatse in other cities on this fine weekend. In the meantime, the FBI is investigating the hacking.
