Fox's hit freshman drama Empire is gearing up to have a banner year. Not only did the show have a wildly popular first season—with ratings ticking up with every episode—but Entertainment Weekly just announced that Fox signed three big names to guest star in the second season: Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, and Lenny Kravitz

It's no surprised that Fox was able to get these guys, considering Snoop Dogg, Gladys Knight, and Mary J. Blige were guest stars on the show earlier this year. And let's not forget that Empire also great and ridiculously fun to watch (Rock  admitted to binge-watching it when we spoke to him in March). The appeal of guest starring makes so much sense—even though no one has confirmed if Common and Oprah will make an appearance on the show this season or not.

If you need more proof this show is it, Fox is actually planning to run more episodes in the second season than in the first. The episode order is now 18 up from the original 12. Fox will also air the second season of the hip-hop drama in the fall, which we are learning is a pretty cutthroat spot to score for dramas and comedies alike right now. Half of the episodes will air in 2016, according to Entertainment Weekly.
