Vijay Chokal-Ingam, the brother of Mindy Kaling (The Office, The Mindy Project) is apparently prepping a book problematically entitled Almost Black, which chronicles Chokal-Ingam's "twisted social experiment" in which he posed as a black man to get into medical school.

Citing less-than-stellar grades (3.1 GPA), Chokal-Ingram — an Indian-American — decided his chances of being accepted into any worthwhile medical programs were practically nonexistent. According to his website, Chokal-Ingram then proceeded to shave his head, trim his eyelashes, and apply to medical schools as a black man.

On his Twitter page, Chokal-Ingram calls himself an Affirmative Action Hacktivist and regularly engages with users who pose an understandably large amount of questions regarding Chokal-Ingram's intentions.

At this time, no publisher is currently slated to release Almost Black.
