Telling the story of 2013's horrific Boston Marathon bombings  is no easy task, but Boston native Mark Wahlberg is going to do just that for an upcoming film titled Patriots' Day. He joins fellow Bostonian, Casey Affleck, who is making a film of his own about the events.

CBS Films, the studio behind Patriots' Day, said Wahlberg will produce the film, although a production source says he will star in it, portraying Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, whose first-hand account of the bombings will serve as the film’s basis.

The film will follow Commissioner Davis and other Patriots as they search for the bombing suspects, who were later identified Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, in the days after the bombing.
