Kim Jong-Un, man of mystery, has dumbfounded us all once again by adding to his legend, this time by reportedly climbing the tallest mountain in North Korea in nothing but a peacoat and dress shoes.

The North Korean leader climbed the volcanic Mt. Paektu, a 2,750-meter peak—considered a sacred place in Korean culture—with party officials and fighter pilots. He was reportedly visiting to see pilots of the Korean People’s Army who had fought in the area.

While he was there, Kim Jong-Un reportedly addressed troops and said,

1.

"Climbing Mount Paektu provides precious mental pabulum* more powerful than any kind of nuclear weapon.”

Nuclear weapons, which if you’ll recall, he threatened to use last year against the United States.

The mountain climb is also significant in that it ties to the Kim family’s legend, supposedly having a “mount Paektu bloodline.”
