The Times Square Spider-Man arrested for fighting with NYPD officers last summer is now suing the city for $1.5 million.

In July 2014, Junior Bishop was taken into custody following a scuffle with officers. Bishop, 25, was accused of forcefully demanding tips from tourists in Times Square, and the encounter turned aggressive when he allegedly refused to provide police with identification. The charges of resisting arrest, assault, and criminal mischief filed against Bishop were dropped in February.

The New York Post reports that Bishop filed his suit on Friday:

In his court papers, Bishop says the police officer grabbed him from behind for no reason and after an extremely brief altercation, he submitted to an arrest once he realized it was a cop. He says in the filing that the incident caused him loss of freedom, severe mental anguish, humiliation, reputational harm, trauma and financial expense.

According to the Post, Bishop's claim will be reviewed by the city's Law Department.
