How did we even communicate our emotions before memes? These days, we're in the midst of peak social media, and relaying your current mood has never been simpler. But your social media presence is only as strong as your sense of humor. Distilling your feelings into one GIF, image, or meme is fine, but it better not be some basic shit from shutterstock, fam. Intangible social awards only go to the most creative, those who dig up a rare image not being used by several thousands of other people to depict the same #mood or better yet, those who flip a meme with a subversive caption or vice versa. The easiest route: using a meme that has modern language on an old ass picture that couldn't be further from the subject matter on the surface but actually works. So, just for giggles, we thought we'd dig up some famous and vintage photos and do just that. Thank us later.
