THR surveyed a bunch of Hollywood producers, agents and executives to confirm what we already know: the top feels so much better than the bottom. While A-list actors aren't making quite as much as they used to, there are still at least six actors who command $20 million or more per picture. And the stars who aren't quite surpassing that number are still doing pretty damn well.
Robert Downey Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Denzel Washington and Matt Damon can all pull $20 million per flick, though that depends on the movie. The franchise films are where the buku bucks are, which is why Downey and Damon will make that much for Iron Man and Bourne films but not The Judge and The Monuments Men, respectively. Even with these high figures, actors are making less upfront and on the backend. DiCaprio made $25 million upfront on The Wolf of Wall Street but had to defer some of his salary because of budget overrruns. And Brad Pitt is reportedly getting a fee in the mere single-digit millions (gasp!) for his role in Robert Zemeckis' upcoming World War II drama.
Here are some quotes for other A-listers:
- Bradley Cooper: $15-$20 million
- Dwayne "The Rock Johnson: $14-$15 million
- Jennifer Lawrence: $10-$15 million
- Mark Wahlberg: $10-$15 million
- Seth Rogen: $8.4 million
