Let's face it. Nobody except maybe hardcore Dakota Johnson fans (they probably exist) were really expecting much out of this week's Saturday Night Live. Johnson is a first-time host, better known for getting tied up and spanked in Fifty Shades of Grey than for being funny, and it's the first episode after that huge SNL 40 anniversary special, so it would seem there's nowhere to go but down.

But that's not what happened. Johnson killed it and so did the cast in one of the best episodes of this season.

Here's everything you need to see:

SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY

1.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Let's stop pretending we're going to hang out some time. Also, the pre-recorded pieces really are the best part of SNL now, right?

KANYE ON WEEKEND UPDATE

2.

If Kanye West is going to apologize, you know he has to make it the "greatest apology of all time." Also, did Sasheer Zamata as the expressionless backup dancer kind of just steal this whole sketch?

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY PRESS ROOM

3.

Please let middle school reporter Peter Scott Finley interview every celebrity, this kid is a pro.

FATHER DAUGHTER AD

4.

His little girl is all grown up, and to say any more than that would spoil this commercial.

RIBLET RETURNS

5.

It might be time to just make Riblet a co-anchor on "Weekend Update." I know the "joke" is that he's better at Michael Che's job than Michael Che, but he's actually the best anchor for the "jorb."
