Who doesn’t love a good reunion? Especially when its between the people that made Training Day, one of the best movies of the 2000s, featuring Denzel Washington's most badass role—which won him an Academy Award. Yes, Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua are teaming up again for a remake of the 1960 film Magnificent Seven, not to be confused with Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. But a Training Day reunion wouldn’t be complete with former rookie cop, Ethan Hawke, and so he has just joined the cast of Fuqua’s latest.

The original Magnificent Seven, which was actually a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, starred seven gunslingers protecting a Mexican village from outlaws. For Fuqua’s iteration, with a first draft penned by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto, the western setting will remain. Not much else is known about the film, but we're going to assume everyone on board is one of the seven slingers. Hawke joins a cast that also includes Chris Pratt, another Fuqua collaborator, and Hailey Bennet.
