Jay and Silent Bob could be coming back not once, but twice. Kevin Smith announced on Facebook Clerks III will begin filming in May. And after running down the rest of his schedule, he teased a sequel to Mallrats

Here's his update in full:

"Saw some websites are reporting CLERKS III will be my last flick. I did say this at one point, but Tusk changed all that. Now, the next 2 years are booked. We shoot CLERKS III in May. The HIT SOMEBODY hockey miniseries finally follows in the fall, shooting September to Christmas 2015. Then in Feb/March 2016, we tackle MOOSE JAWS and ANTI-CLAUS. And after that? I smell a rat..."

The Weinstein Company passed on Clerks III last summer, forcing Smith to secure funding for the threequel to his debut film himself. He said his efforts were successful because he shed himself of his past desperation to make the film and won over financiers with Tusk, despite its poor box office showing.

Given how full Smith's schedule appears to be, it could be a while before Mallrats 2 happens. But given how Clerks II turned out, we're confident it won't be butchered.
