Sesame Street has the pulse of the pop culture beat. The day that House of Cards drops a trailer for season three, they've got a parody ("Some people say there's too much pork in this town," says Frank Underwolf). The day after Birdman wins the Best Picture Oscar? They'd already shot "Big Birdman," where Big Bird stalks Caroll Spinney (Big Bird's puppeteer since 1969), and tells him their office smells like birdseed, and momentarily forgets that they can't fly.
