A naked man was shot by a San Diego police officer yesterday after trying to break into a home, police say.

The Associated Press reports that officers were summoned to the home due to calls about a burglary. The first responding officer got an unexpected eyeful when he spotted the man attempting to access the home—sans his clothes.

San Diego Police Capt. Mike Hastings told the Associated Press that the officer drew his weapon, but the man refused to surrender, attacking the officer instead. A struggle for the weapon ensued, and the officer eventually discharged it, striking the man in the torso.

Per the Associated Press, the officer attempted to use a stun gun twice before shooting the man. He sustained only minor injuries, while the man is said to be in fair condition.
