While you can’t expect every contestant on The Price Is Right to have a working knowledge of how much everything costs, it’s fair to expect at least a shred of common sense. Or so it seemed.
On yesterday’s New Year’s Day episode, a pair of contestants seemed to think that a brand new iPhone 6 (and one year plan) cost at least $7000. Even host Drew Carey—whose patience for idiocy on his show knows practically no bounds—couldn’t hide his bemusement:

It turns out they were only slightly off; the actual price was about $5000 less. It does beg the question, though: what exactly did these people think an iPhone 6 could do that made it worth $7000?
