Police in New York City are searching for a suspect who kicked a woman who was carrying a baby and stole her cell phone in the Bronx last week.
According to NBC New York, surveillance footage captured the unidentified 24-year-old woman returning home from a laundromat in the borough's West Farms neighborhood on Friday. The woman is seen passing the suspect, who then follows her and kicks her in the back. The woman, who had her three-month-old son strapped to her chest, falls to the ground, dropping her cell phone, which her assailant grabs before running off.
Police tell NBC New York that the suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Alonzo Brown, and the woman and her child were treated for their injuries at Jacobi Hospital.
