American Dad has only been airing new episodes on TBS for less than a month, but the network is already ecstatic about its new show. TBS has announced it's renewing Seth MacFarlane's animated series for a 22-episode season

Fox canceled American Dad in 2013, but TBS was quick to give it a fresh home for new episodes. After a little mix-up when Fox aired three new episodes in September, the show has gotten off to a great start on TBS, landing in the top five ratings in its Monday timeslot for the key 18-49 demographic. And judging by critics, the show has lived up to now-former showrunner Mike Barker's promise that "it's going to be the same American Dad!, just in a different place."

It looks like the sun in the sky has a smile on his face, and it's shining to salute to the TBS race (for ratings).
