After Christian Bale left the Steve Jobs biopic yesterday, producers are already hard at work finding his replacement. It seems that they’ve set their sights on another big name: Michael Fassbender.

The German-Irish star of X-Men: Days of Future Past, 12 Years a Slave, and many other films would certainly be a surprising choice to play the late Apple founder, but given his acting chops he’d also likely do a great job with the role. He’d have a tremendous team behind the scenes to set him up for success; both writer Aaron Sorkin and director Danny Boyle have recently won Academy Awards for their work, with Sorkin winning in 2010 for The Social Network and Boyle winning in 2008 for Slumdog Millionaire.

Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain are rumored to be involved in the production as well, although that has yet to be confirmed. Given his past, the involvement of Fassbender would also exponentially increase the possibility that there could be some sort of full-frontal nudity scene.
