Sarah Silverman told Seth Meyers last night that when she was a writer on Saturday Night Live, Al Franken (now a U.S. senator from Minnesota) was “like a father figure to me.”

Um, Sarah? This is a really weird way to treat your "father."

With Franken having grown out his jewfro out for the winter, Silverman likewise grew fascinated with the relative plushness of her fellow writer’s hair. So, naturally, she wanted to poke it with a pencil. The only problem was that, apparently, Silverman is the least coordinated person in the history of the world.

Instead of running the pencil through one side of Franken’s hair and out the other, she missed by several inches and ended up stabbing him in the side of the head. The only thing better than Silverman’s seeming lack of remorse (she said she was “crying from laughing”) was the future senator’s priceless reaction as he screamed only the word “WHY!?”

Needless to say, that was Silverman’s only season writing for SNL.
