A scary board game movie that got terrible reviews beat out Keanu Reeves and Bill Murray-led films at the box office this weekend, because Halloween, I guess.

Ouija, a fairly low-budget horror flick about that spooky game that lets you talk to dead people or something (ohh, it's moving!) earned more than $20 million in its debut weekend on a $5 million budget, making it a giant hit already.

The No. 2 spot went to John Wick, the surprisingly well-reviewed Reeves (woah) movie about a hitman who comes out of retirement looking for revenge, which earned $14.2 million. The other major new release this week, St. Vincent, starring America's surrogate wacky uncle Murray, landed in sixth place with $8.1 million.

Everything else in the top 10 was stuff that had been out for a few weeks already, including Fury (No. 3, $13 million), Gone Girl (No. 4, $11.1 million) and The Book of Life (No. 5, $9.8 million).
