Missouri Family’s Life Becomes a Horror Movie as 6,000 Spiders “Bleed Out of the Walls”

Nearly 6000 spiders overtook a house in Missouri, forcing the family living inside to flee.

Remember how, when you read Charlotte’s Web, you kind of wanted a spider to live in your house and give you amazing advice? This is sort of like the opposite of that.

A Missouri family was forced to abandon their house when they were overwhelmed by an infestation of anywhere from 4500 to 6000 spiders. The arachnids were basically everywhere in the house, crawling out from the blinds and under the wallpaper. Basically, as the owners of the house put it, they were “bleeding out of the walls.”

If that sounds like a horror movie, well, that’s because it pretty much is. While a bite from one of the spiders in question (brown recluse, if you’re into entomology) isn’t fatal, it can cause kidney failure and according to one expert “will make you wish you were dead.”

Yikes.

The house is now being fumigated beyond all recognition, and according to the pest control company owner “There'll be nothing alive in there after this.” Isn’t this basically how the David Arquette classic Eight Legged Freaks started?
