The time is coming perilously close where HBO will have to start revealing details of Season 2 of True Detective, and while this latest rumor is not one of the casting variety, it’s still a pretty juicy detail.

Justin Lin—best known for his work directing the fourth, fifth, and sixth installments of the Fast & Furious franchise—is being eyed to direct multiple episodes of the upcoming season. Creator Nic Pizzolatto had previously indicated that there would be multiple directors this time around, whereas Season 1 only had recent Emmy winner Cary Fukunaga.

One can only hope that this means that Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Vince Vaughn, or whoever ends up starring will find themselves dragging a safe through crowded streets, driving tanks down freeways, and jumping cars out of exploding airplanes.
