Groundskeeper Willie, Springfield Elementary's finest employee and the Scotsman who once said  "grease me up woman", is weighing in on the historic vote that could give Scotland independence from the United Kingdom.

He makes a few good points, noting that both sides have their merits, including "the right one" and "the obviously wrong one," supported by "those that enjoy crawling like worms beneath British boots.”

Turns out the animated The Simpsons character has his sights set on ruling a newly independent Scotland, and he'd never back down to foreign leaders, because he has no idea who they are, and he's "not willing to learn."

The real-life vote for Scotland's independence is Sept. 18. The Simpsons season premiere is Sept. 28 on Fox.
