Robin Williams tragic death has meant a great deal to the entertainment industry as a whole, which is exactly why the MTV VMAs honored the great actor.
The awards show aired a short video tribute to the actor soundtracked by Coldplay's "Sky Full of Stars."
Many complained about how short and abrupt the tribute was, but nonetheless it was a well-intentioned surprise.
Expect to see the actor honored again tomorrow night at the Emmys.
