Drunk History, while absurdly silly, has a knack for unveiling deep cuts in American history—the stuff you didn't really hear about in your high school classes. The fact that these interesting tidbits are being relayed by someone who is blitzed to the point of incoherence is just the cherry on top.
The focus of Drunk History's season finale on Sept. 2 is "First Ladies," and one such lady is Frances Cleveland, played wonderfully by Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat. Frances was (and still is) the youngest woman to be the First Lady, marrying Grover Cleveland (played on the show by SNL star Bobby Moynihan) at age 21.
But Drunk History narrator Molly McAleer lets us know that Frances did way more stuff than just marry big. For instance, she very coolly insisted on being called "Frank" and started a charity that may or may not have been called The Home for Friendless Colored Girls (it probably wasn't called that).
