For all those “Walter White didn’t die” conspiracy theorists, you’ll be happy to hear that you were at least partially correct.

Better Call Saul executive producer Peter Gould revealed that the show will not have a strictly linear timeline, and that it will span across several decades. Among other things (Bob Odenkirk’s fashion choices are going to be amazing), this opens up the possibility that storylines will unfold during the same time as Breaking Bad.

Gould told the Daily News that “One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before Breaking Bad, during Breaking Bad, and after Breaking Bad,” he said, “That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on Breaking Bad.”

Given his huge impact on Saul’s life, one would think that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) would be a prime candidate to return, at least briefly. After all, Walter is the reason Saul had to change his identity and skip town, which most would agree is a fairly major life event.

And hey, speaking of checking in on other Breaking Bad characters, can we at least make sure someone got Huell some water or something? He’s been in that motel room for like two years.
