Mike Tyson has been known for his eccentric personality over the years, culminating in moments like the infamous bite on Evander Holyfield as well as his affinity for bird-keeping. Iron Mike is a famously complex personality, and his conflicted, combative nature has often resulted in soundbytes that are less than politically correct.
However, we can't forget that Tyson was also the face of a cultural moment. He was Kid Dynamite, the dude who wouldn't go down until Buster Douglas famously upset him in 1990. Because of his fame, Tyson earned himself a place in video gaming history as the nearly-unbeatable final boss in Mike's Tyson Punch-Out!!. Released in 1987, the game focused on the Tyson who was both fearsome and beloved by the public.
But, in the interest of representing Tyson fairly, artist James Harvey has posted stills of Punch-Out mashed up with some of Tyson's most unfortunate quotes. As you'll see, they're by turns heart-breaking, hilarious, and just plain wrong.
