The word "ratchet" may be played out, but until the Internet agrees upon a more accurate description for these crimes, it will have to do. These stories are sad, imaginative, and they inspire us to have conversations about race, class, and the American dream

This week's roundup includes a child exchange for video games, diapers filled with heroin, and naked yoga. Each crime is rated on our Ratchet Metera base-10 logarithmic scale modeled after a similar system developed by Charles Richter—except that the Ratchet Meter has nothing to do with science because it's not actually a real thing.

Read on for the best of the worst ratchet crimes in America. Proceed with caution, stay safe, don't try this at home, and send your tips to cityguidetips@complex.com.

Disregard the expression "a picture's worth a thousand words," because this one will leave you speechless.

According to the New York Daily News, Angela Green, 34, checked into a Wickliffe, Ohio Quality Inn with 24-year-old Brian Baker on Saturday Jul.12, then refused to leave. A manager called police, and when an officer told Green and Baker they either had to leave the room or rent it for another day, Green reportedly "became loud and uncooperative."

The Wickliffe Police Department's Facebook page revealed that the Cleveland resident's unruly behavior continued once authorities finally got her to exit the room:

Once outside, the female continued to become loud and uncooperative and refused to identify herself. After a brief struggle the female was arrested and transported to the WPD.

She was arrested and charged with obstructing official business. She'll never live that picture down. Ever.

Twin sisters accused of advertising their "services" on the Internet were arrested for prostitution by police in North Carolina, officials say.

The Smoking Gun reports that Sarah and Katelyn Lothrop, 19, were arrested by the Raleigh Police Department on Wednesday, Jul. 16 at a motel along with Michael Lewis, 27, who's accused of being their pimp. The Smoking Gun adds that the Lothrop twins detailed their allure in a Backpage.com ad posted the night before:

The Lothrops—calling themselves "Kerri" and "Krystal"—sought "Fellaz" in "need of two sexy young twins with excellent talent." Noting that, "We have a perfect body with the softest skin," the ad offered to "make your dreams come true & then some." The online pitch—headlined "Hot and sexy beautiful fun Twins"—included four photos of the underwear-clad women posing in a bathroom mirror. In one shot, seen below, Sarah's face is not obscured.

Simply irresistible. The Lothrop twins and Lewis were all charged with aiding and abetting prostitution.
