Every month, Netflix refreshes its stable of streaming movies and TV shows, meaning that even the most ardent of binge watchers will have new material to comb through in the days and weeks ahead. This August, a whole slew of classics will be joining the lineup even as we are forced to say goodbye to titles like Airplane, The Addams Family, and Hobo with a Shotgun, all of which are set to expire at the beginning of the month.
The new titles are headlined by the Netflix-produced fourth season of The Killing, which had been canceled by AMC but was brought back for one final, six-episode run. BoJack Horseman— a cartoon starring a foul-mouthed half man/half horse voiced by Will Arnett—will also make its debut.
On the movie side, you can gear up for the highly-anticipated Mad Max reboot by checking out Mel Gibson’s breakout performance in the original, or go on a marathon of grunting and mediocre acting by watching all five original Rocky movies.
