"Words With Friends" Creator Reveals New Virtual Reality Game

Co-creator of hit the mobile game Words With Friends has announced an exclusive new game set to drop on the virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.

Developer Playful Corp announced Lucky's Tale, a partnership between Words With Friends co-creator Paul Bettner and Oculus VR. The game will be shown on, the now Facebook owned, Oculus Rift virtual reality headset at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

Words With Friends became an unavoidable part of mobile life with millions of players. The free Scrabble-like game because socially unacceptable not to play. If the developer can pull off a game that is half as popular then all of your free time is in trouble.

Oculus VR, the company behind the Oculus Rift was recently sold to Facebook for $2 billion. While consumers still cannot buy the Oculus Rift, a launch date seems to be getting closer. Keep an eye on this space for more details.
