A CNBC interview gets horribly awkward when the attention goes from talking about gays coming out, to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
New York Times columnist James Stewart discussed Fortune 500 CEOs coming out about being homosexual on CNBC's Squawk on the Street, he said — quite proudly — that he reached out to many of them who, in turn, were comfortable talking about their sexuality. So, understandably, co-host Simon Hobbs asked about Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, who has been fairly open about being gay. "Tim Cook is fairly open about the fact that he's gay at the head of Apple, isn't he?, Hobbs asked.
Then things got awkward.
