Love, or rather a loss of it, can result in extreme behavior. Police in South Africa have allegedly arrested a man accused of consuming the heart of an ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend using a fork and knife.
The crime of passion reportedly went down in Gugulethu township, near Cape Town, where the aggressor was eventually arrested. On an even more grisly note, authorities say the 62-year-old victim also suffered stab wounds to his back and chest, as well as bites to his face.
According to the BBC, Western Cape Deputy Police Commissioner Sharon Jephta described the scene as "very gruesome," and the result of a "love triangle."
The suspect is expected to be charged either today or tomorrow, and any relationship that causes you to commit acts of cannibalism is one you definitely don't need to be involved in.
