Finally, a good use of virtual reality. Turning me into the rich superhero I always knew I could be. Sure you could probably do other things with the gesture-based controls of Control VR's new gloves, but why would you? The company is seeking funding on Kickstarter to integrate the gloves into all sorts of uses from controlling drones to performing surgeries.
The systems uses sensors to detect changes in how the user moves their hands and arms and translates those into game functions. The system will launch soon and will integrate with the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, Google Glass and yes, even some drones.
Technology is slowly getting closer to the beautiful future of Lawnmower Man. That movie has a happy ending right?
