You probably don't need that gun when you're going to cop a steak burrito bowl.

Chipotle has made a request of its customers: Refrain from bringing guns inside of its various locations

According to NBC News, the chain was forced to speak up after open-carry supporters entered a Dallas location with military-style assault rifles last weekend. Furthermore, the company issued a formal statement, explaining that "the display of firearms in our restaurants has now created an environment that is potentially intimidating or uncomfortable for many of our customers," because obliviously.

NBC News adds that a Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America petition spurred Chipotle's decision. According to the group, the petition itself was a reaction to the Dallas incident.

Chipotle still has yet to clarify whether they're now officially banning firearms, as well as what will happen if someone chooses to ignore their request and bring a weapon into a restaurant regardless.
