While promoting her new movie A Million Ways to Die in the West, Charlize Theron made some controversial comments about how hard it is out there for celebrities. "I don't [Google myself]—that's my saving grace. When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start feeling raped," she told Sky News.

As EW points out, her Snow White and the Huntsman costar Kristen Stewart said a similar thing to British Elle a few years ago and ended up having to apologize. K-Stew is more prone to word vomit, though, and Theron was given a chance to clarify her use of the word "rape."

"Well, when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe it's just me," she explained. "Some people might relish in all that stuff but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them." OK, that's fair, but it seems a bit callous to compare violent sexual assault to tabloid coverage.

Theron has done anti-rape campaigns in her native South Africa, so she probably doesn't take that lightly. Watch the interview below.
