Doctors in India made a shocking discovery when treating a man who complained about stomach pain: Twelve bars of gold

The 63-year-old businessman told doctors that he had ingested a bottle cap out of frustration during an argument with his wife (the fuck?), and had since been vomiting and struggling to use the bathroom. During surgery, doctors at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi did not find a bottle cap. What they did find was 12 bars of gold worth close to $23,000.

As Gawker notes, perhaps he swallowed the gold because he was trying to hide it from his wife. As Black Thought said, sometimes relationships get ill. No, it doesn't really make sense, but would you expect a lot out of someone who told doctors he swallowed a bottle cap knowing damn well that wasn't what they would find?

Also, if he was hiding that gold from anyone, they know all about it now.
