While Sony has its own Project Morpheus virtual reality headset, it continues to work another angle of game immersion; augmented reality. These tech demos showcase the PlayStation 4's potential for manipulating real and virtual objects.
The video above shows a tester holding up two squares that generate cubes of sloshing water on screen with a rubber duck that can be poured back and forth. The second video shows the tester using a real-world flashlight to illuminated a dinosaur then the virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
How these could be used in games of the future is unclear, but shows off the impressive tech behind Sony's PlayStation 4 and their commitment to develop augmented reality games.
