Chick-fil-A will infiltrate New York City this year, potential complaints or protests be damned.

Gothamist reports that the chain intends to open 108 franchises in 2014, several of which will be in New York City. Though there's already one inside of an NYU dorm, the Atlanta-based chain wants to leave more of an imprint. "If we can't do it in New York, we have no business going anywhere else," vice president Woody Faulk told USA Today

Chick-fil-A plans to compensate for any negative press surrounding their views on same-sex marriage (is Macklemore welcome there?) by distracting New Yorkers with new additions to their menu. The new grilled chicken recipe is apparently a reality; the promise of chicken free of antibiotics five years down the line might be a dream they're selling, but we'll see.

Two things are for sure, however: Protests will be organized and chicken will be eaten. Oh, and they still won't be open on Sundays, thus elimniating them as a brunch option.
