Love Google or hate Google, this is cool.
The company has added a new feature on the desktop version of Google Maps that lets users go back to past images captured with Street View, giving them the option to compare seasons and changes in an area over the years. Before this feature, Maps users were only limited to the latest pictures taken by the Street View cars, which is still a pretty big feat. Google started taking pictures back in 2007, so you can't go too far back, but who knows what you can discover.
