Assassin's Creed: Unity is either the title or codename of the next Assassin's Creed game – one of two dropping in 2014 – and is set at least partly in Paris. All this according to a report from Kotaku.

Citing “a number of sources,” the gaming site claims that Unity is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while a second major game codenamed “Comet” is to be released on last-gen systems, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

An anonymous source leaked multiple screenshots of an early version of Assassin's Creed: Unity. The images show the game appears to be set in Paris, with landmarks such as the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine River in view. Also present are new “parkour up” and “parkour down” buttons that will be part of the new movement scheme said to be featured in Unity.

Launching two Assassin's Creed games in the same year isn't uncharted territory for the franchise as it dropped Assassin's Creed 3for consoles and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation for the PlayStation Vita back in 2012.

A little French revolution anyone?
