Late Night with Seth Meyers is in its beginning stages which calls for some experiments. Last night the talk show got elbow deep into one. David Remnick, journalist and editor-in-chef of The New Yorker stopped by to talk politics. In particular he discussed Vladimir Putin and the Ukraine. Remnick also took part in a new segment that's quite a mouthful called, *takes deep breath* "Live New Yorker Cartoons: An Exploration of Love, Death, And People On Desert Islands."

The segment featured actors deemed the "Late Night Players" recreating cartoons found in the pages of New Yorker magazine. The bit is a detour from the usual brand of late night talk show humor—an experiment well worth the effort.
