Many people love chocolate, just like many love fried chicken. But what about together?

Next month, Adam Fleischman, the mind behind the Umami Burger will help bring chocolate-flavored fried chicken fast-casual collision ChocoChicken to L.A. According to Fleischman, this strange combination was born out of a need to spice fried chicken up—no pun intended.

"There are more-upscale versions of it, but it's still very recognizable," he told Fast Company. "So we said, 'Hey, why don't we take fried chicken and turn it on its ear?' When you taste it, you're like, 'Oh, that's what chocolate chicken is.'"

The idea was first pitched to Fleischman by Keith Previte and Sean Robbins. "They emailed me and I said, 'These guys are either completely crazy or onto something," he explained. "So I said, 'Come on over, make me some chicken.' I wanted to see how crazy and stupid they were. I tasted it," he recalls, "and I said, 'Hey, you guys aren't stupid at all.'"

So what will this actually taste like? Fleischman did his best to explain:

None

He added a bit of his signature umami flavoring , which he says "really brought it to another level," and the menu will feature sides like white-chocolate mashed potatoes" and bacon biscuits topped with "ChocoKetchup." Brace yourself, world.
