Yesterday, on what would have been Steve Jobs' 59th birthday, a tribute statue was unveiled to commemorate the occasion. The design might be be permanently placed in Apple's Cupertino campus—and may be used to scare away any children who come to visit.

The statue (or metal scarecrow for humans), designed by Serbian sculptor Dragan Radenovic, was picked out of 10,000 entries in an international art competition.

Along with Jobs' head placed at the top of the statue, two letters are sprouting out of the side of the body, along with a 1 and 0, which stands for the binary numeral system.

According to Apple Insider, many people at Apple are big fans of the statue — they like that it has imperfections, much different than many of the computerized designs that were submitted. The designer even got a phone call from Jony Ive, praising the work. The statue will head to Apple, and if it's approved, Radenovic will be commissioned to build 10 to 16 foot tall model on the campus.
