Can't wait for the next (and next-gen) installment of Uncharted? If Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida is to be believed, Naughty Dog's PS4 debut has already been in development for three years. Speaking to the Japanese site Inside Games, Yoshida made some mention over the power of the PS4's graphical capabilities, hinting at Nate Drake's latest adventure in the process.
"After the release of the PS4, the time in which developers are getting accustomed to the hardware is coming," he said in an interview translated at Dualshockers. "After three years Naughty Dog’s work has finally become exciting, isn’t it?"
Given that Last of Us developer Neil Druckmann recently stated he was unsure whether or not there would be another game set in that universe versus the prospect of working on an entirely new IP, it would jibe that Yoshida's comments are talking about the next Uncharted, whose teaser was unveiled during Nomvember's US Playstation 4 launch in New York City.
While the reveal teaser for Uncharted didn't give us much info aside from introducing what appears to be a former associate (presumably of Drake's) being really pissed over a betrayal that seems to involve pirates and (again, presumably) some kind of MacGuffin somewhere off the coast of Madagascar, hopefully with a four year development time the game will be out by the end of the year. Or 2015. Let's hope it's the former.
