The Mars Curiosity rover just took a look back on its old home.

On its 529th day on the Martian surface, the rover peered into the sky and caught a picture of Earth and the moon, looking very similar to the stars we see here. "A human observer with normal vision, if standing on Mars, could easily see Earth and the moon as two distinct, bright 'evening stars,'" NASA representatives said.

Another Mars rover, Spirit, shot a picture of Earth from Mars back in 2004.
