Microsoft will celebrate the launch of Respawn's new first-person mech enhanced Titanfall exclusive with a spanking new limited edition Xbox One controller.

"In a collaborative effort with the Xbox design team and the Respawn art department our goal was to create a controller that feels as if it is a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall and into players hands," Respawn artist Joel Emslie explained.

Hyperbole aside, it just look like a sticker on Xbox One new controller, which is not quite accurate - I've been assured that it is not a sticker - but it certainly doesn't come with an Atlas Titan or anything; bummer. Although just having the name Titanfall on it is going to make it an instant sell. Titanfall is sure to be a massive game on par with the Battlefields and Call of Duty's of the day so there is sure to be plenty of peripheral merchandise. Turtle Beach announced last week a Titanfall headset that's backwards compatible, meaning it works both on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Gamers who want to pick up “an artifact from the Titanfall world,” according to Microsoft, can slap down $64.99 which is only $5 more than the regular controller. The game itself is set to drop in under three months on March 11, exclusively on Xbox One, 360 and Windows PC.
