Back in November, word got out that Spike Lee would be selling his 8,292-square-foot Upper East Side townhouse for a cool $32 million. Now, the home at 153 East 63rd Street is officially on the market. The home, which Lee bought for $16.6 million in 1998, features five bedrooms and five baths, a library, an interior courtyard, staff quarters and cathedral ceilings in two of its rooms.

The home has a storied past, as it was previously owned by Broadway producer and agent Charles B. Dillingham, engineer and Wright Brothers collaborator Charles Lanier Lawrance and burlesque dancer Gypsy Rose before Lee purchased it from artist Jasper Johns

It's good to see Lee's presence extend beyond Brooklyn.
