After Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, a sequel was all-but inevitable for Disney. And in 2016 fans everywhere will get their wish when Through the Looking Glass hits theaters. Now Variety is reporting that in addition to Johnny Depp returning as the Hatter, Sacha Baron Cohen is in early talks to play the film’s yet-unnamed villain.

While Burton won’t be back for the movie, the return of Depp and Mia Wasikowska as Alice will bring enough continuity from the original to please fans. Plus, the studio picked a formidable new director for the film in James Bobin, who worked his magic with 2011’s The Muppets. We’ll have more information on who Cohen might be playing when those details are revealed.

Through the Looking Glass will debut in theaters on May 27, 2016.
