Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Will Score "Gone Girl"

Amazing news.

Great news for David Fincher's upcoming film Gone Girl—well, the score, anyway. In a new tweet posted today, Trent Reznor announced that he and frequent collaborator Atticus Ross will once again team up with Fincher to score Gone Girl, which is set to hit theaters later this year. The tweet, in full:

This will be the third film that Reznor and Ross have scored together for Fincher: The first was 2010's The Social Network, which earned them a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Score, and the second was 2011's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which earned them a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Gone Girl, which stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, and is based off of the wildly successful Gillian Flynn novel of the same name (but with a whole new ending!) will hit theaters on October 3, 2014.
